Over the past 5+ years at Snowshack Dave has been an order taker, customer service representative, shipping clerk, product reviewer, buyer, tester, accountant, vendor liaison, spell checker, website updater, mail-room manager, bill payer, warranty manager, returns processor, and more. He has promoted himself 7 times while firing himself only 3 times throughout his Snowshack career.
Dave relies on the assistance of his wife and two kids (ages 7 & 10) for product feedback. Both his kids have used the kid's teaching tools offered on the website as well as many of the different helmets, bags, long underwear, gloves/mittens, goggles, etc.
Raised in Cazenovia, NY, Dave had 6 ski areas to choose from within 1/2 hour of his house. His "home" area had 1 T-bar and 2 rope tows which it still has today. Currently you can find Dave and his family at Attitash in NH every weekend throughout the winter.
George, also known as Geordie, too has been a jack of all trades, master of none at Snowshack. When he is not answering the phone or e-mails, he tends to spend his time on marketing and web site architecture. He prefers to test products himself in various places like Taos, Alta, Batchelor, Squaw Valley, Whistler, Jackson Hole, CMH and various European resorts.
George is an active skier and has been a member of the Mad River (Ski It If You Can) Ski Patrol (in Vermont) since 1962. He is a resident of Warren, VT (as of May 2006) where he is also active in the Ambulance Squad and the Mad River Glen Board of Trustees. He also owns a family home in Waitsfield, VT.
George comes from a skiing family. As a child, he skied most New England ski areas with his parents on weekends. One sister was on the US Ski Team and the other was captain of the Middlebury College ski team during one of the year's that they were national champions.
Prior to founding Snowshack, George spent his career in high-tech sales and marketing management.
