Backpacks, rucksacks and a fanny pack. Call them what you may. Some carry skis, boots, snowblades or snowshoes. Use them as day packs, school bags, carrying gear, hiking, running etc. We often get asked for a backpack that will carry boots and a helmet. Many skiers are using regular backpacks in this way. They are typically draping their boots (using the power straps to hold them together or the straps on the side of the pack) over the top of the pack and using the chin strap to hold the helmet to the pack.
