I debated buying such an expensive goggle. I do not usually go for the high end gear. However, I know I�ll take care of these, and they�re built well enough to last for many years, so it is worth it. Only a few lift tickets worth anyway. The lenses in this pair are perfect. They offer perfect visibility no matter what. I tested them first in the dreary cloudy days of Northeast skiing, where they were not too dark (I was a little worried about this, seeing the lightest they go to is ~33% VLT). Next, out in Breckenridge, CO, with the brightest sun I�d seen all season, they cut down all of the glare and left my eyes feeling great at the end of the day. This extreme range would be impossible without the photo-chromatic lens. Highly recommended.
