Wow, guess I just bought a tool to hang four of my garden tools. We own four different snowboards and not one of them was held by this product. Got a nice ding in the paint job of my nice car though. Not to mention the dings in my boards. Save your money on this product.

Works great with matte finished skis. High gloss and metal surfaces (like brushed stainless), however, tend to slip in the grips. Letting the skis or snowboard hang all the way down so that the tips (or bindings) engage with the grips will prevent slipping as long as the skis/board are nice and vertical--failure to place them in vertically can result in slip-out, which I witnessed. Roughening the skis surface (not for the fashion conscious) or applying tape (e.g. masking tape) prevents slippery surface from sliding in the grip. Cross country skis will also hang well if theyre placed such that the tip engage with the grips.

I ordered 3, all are working fine for alpine skis. However, it seems that the profile of cross country skis is too slim for them to be grabbed securely. But Im ordering 2 more for alpine skis.

I ordered 3, on of which broke as soon as I hung one board, one would not hold the boards for a long time, it fell on my car. Snowshacks response (Dave): I use these myself and never had had a problem. Nad, I have given several to my family as presents and they have not had problems. I am not sure what problems Nicole is having but if she contacts us, we would be glad to replace them or refund her money.
